The first half hour is for relaxed socializing and pond viewing. An informal pot luck meal follows, where discussions are entertaining and fun. The meeting included an informational talk on BRINGING YOUR POND OUT OF WINTER. If you own a pond, or are an aspiring pond owner, this group can enlighten you with all their experiences; the good, bad, and even the ugly. July
Debbi Gillis, of Central Coast Koi Club, reports the Jun meeting was held at the home of John and Kira Olshefski and several guests attended.  After an abundance of dinner brought by members, they discussed a KOI USA article (Lazy Man’s Water Changes) and a new enzyme product called Pond Support by Aqua Meds which, when combined with Ultimate, cleared the pond within 24 hours.  The July meeting was held at the home of Mike and Linda Simms.  Several guests attended as the result of an ad the club placed in a local paper.  Discussion re: members getting into their ponds, wet suits vs. waders, etc.  Mike’s presentation was on Solar pump systems for irrigating your yard.  The system is inexpensive with a payoff of around 4 years.  The next meeting will be at BJ and Ingrid’s.
